GABAPENTIN
– Action: neuropathic pain/analgesia, calming/sedation, decreased anxiety
– May intensify sedation although it combines well with other drugs.
TRAZADONE
– Action: anxiolytic, sedation
– Causes sleepiness. Side effects may include mild GI effects and sometimes transient third eyelid protrusion in cats. May increase serotonin levels when combined with other drugs although it is compatible with injectable sedation and gas anesthesia.
